Sardar Qasim Soleimani Shaheed was just 19 years old, like many other youths, he was attracted to the revolutionaries and the army. His entry into the army was the first step to his fame and advancement.
His first mission in life was to protect the planes based in Kerman. He later became the commander of the training barracks and participated in the Iran-Iraq war in the same year.
In the first mission of the Iran-Iraq war, he was entrusted with the command of the ” Tharallah army”. Which became an important army and at the end of the war its commander was Qasim Soleimani.
According to former commander Mohammad Ali Jafari, he was not well known in the beginning. However, by the end of the war, he had become a high-ranking commander. After the war, he headed the counter-narcotics mission for 8 years.
But the most important mission that lasted until the end of his life began. When he was appointed as the Commander of the Quds Force according to the order of the Supreme Leader.
The Quds Force, the overseas branch, grew into a massive security, cultural and economic military organization under Qassem Soleimani, with dozens of militia groups in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen, Afghanistan and Palestine.
The most important aspect of Quds Force activities in the last decade was political activities. Qassem Soleimani’s rise and fame was a result of his role and international media attention. Amid political tensions in the Middle East and a major regional war in Syria, Qassem Soleimani became known in the region as Ayatollah Khamenei’s foreign minister.
Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani introduced himself as Israel’s number one enemy in the world, and as the commander of the Quds Force, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard increased his irony against the American government. He was the first commander of Iran in the wars in Syria and Iraq. He handled the case of ISIS and ended them. He played an important role in the Iraqi crisis-solving system, in the reconstruction of the mausoleums of the imams in Iraq. When will Kurdistan be free, when will Iraqi Prime Ministers be appointed, and many other important events and decisions in the region were connected with his name.
Because of these things, he had become the most important commander of the Iranian Force in the last forty years. He was also awarded the highest military honor of the Islamic Republic of Iran, “Zulfiqar”. After Iran’s Islamic Revolution, General Soleimani is the first person to receive this honor.
The actions that gave Qassem Soleimani international fame made him a charismatic personality. Qassem Soleimani, whose picture was the best from t-shirts to computer games, was on the top as the most acceptable face of iranin Force.
Quds Corps commanders were also active in Afghanistan. According to some Mujahideen, they used to travel to Afghanistan many times during the war against the Taliban and Al-Qaeda. With this plan, he has taken many actions in the reconstruction of Afghanistan after the civil war.
According to the Afghan soldiers, he was a kind person. He treated the Afghan allies with respect and sat at their table without any hesitation. He had a great experience of fighting against the drug-trafficking groups in Kurdistan during the internal war, the Iran-Iraq war, and the drug-trafficking borders of Iran and Afghanistan.
During Israel’s invasion of Lebanon and the 33-day war, Qassem Soleimani remained in Beirut as the central command of Hezbollah in control Room.
Qassem Soleimani is fighting against ISIS in Iraq and Syria. Iran started a competition with this group to restore peace and security in the Middle East. He played an important role in expelling ISIS from Iraq. Finally, on November 21, 2017, General Qassem Soleimani announced the destruction of ISIS in the letter of Ayatollah Khamenei. It was a great achievement.
In 2019, the American newspaper Foreign Policy, in a special issue in which it publishes the names of the 100 best intellectuals around the world every year, added the name of General Qassem Soleimani to the 10 selected defense and security thinkers of the world.
Qassem Soleimani was attacked several times. For the first time in the year 1982, a doctor fatally attacked him in Mashhad city. Similarly, people who planned to kill Qassem Soleimani were arrested in Kerman city.
And finally, General Qassem Soleimani was martyred in an American drone attack on January 3, 2020. This attack was carried out on his car when he was leaving Baghdad Airport. In this attack, some other people were martyred along with them, including the deputy of the Iraqi Volunteer Force, Abu Mehdi Al-Muhandis. Shortly after this attack, the US Department of Defense issued a statement announcing that the attack on Qassem Soleimani’s vehicle was carried out on the orders of US President Donald Trump.
The Muslims of the world protested on his martyrdom. Demonstrations and protests were held in different countries and programs and condolence gatherings were organized in the whole world except in Iran in his memory and condolence. Political and religious personalities of different countries reacted to his martyrdom and gave condolence messages. In his condolence message, Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Khamenei called him an international figure of the resistance bloc and announced three days of mourning in Iran to commemorate his martyrdom.
In the same way, the foreign ministers of different countries also condemned this action of the United States by expressing sympathy. Similarly, the UN special reporter, Agnès Callamard, called the killing of Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi illegal and Declared a violation of international laws. American historian Ervand Abrahamian said that before this tragedy, Iranians considered the United States to be a conspiratorial government, and after this accident, they will also consider it a terrorist government.
As a result of the martyrdom of Qasim Soleimani, some effects and consequences occurred:
After the martyrdom of Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, Iraqi political parties and people demanded the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq, and the Iraqi Parliament convened an urgent meeting on January 5, 2020, and called for the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq. Passed the bill.
On January 8, 2020, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps attacked the US military’s Ain al-Asad Airbase in Iraq with missiles in retaliation for the killing of Qassem Soleimani, and Iran shattered America’s claim of superpower when its most advanced equipment was destroyed by Iran. They were unaware of the missiles and failed to identify them. Due to which America was disrespected all over the world and the world had a chance to laugh at him.
In the calendar of the Islamic Republic of Iran, this day has been recorded as the World Resistance Day.
The historic funeral of Qassem Soleimani, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and their companions in the presence of Iraqi political and religious personalities and people in the city of Iraq In Baghdad, Karbala and Najaf. After that, the funerals of the martyrs were moved to Iran and funerals were held in Ahvaz, Mashhad, Tehran and Qom.
In Tehran, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei led a funeral prayer for the funeral of Qassem Soleimani, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and other martyrs. According to the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps spokesman, 25 million people attended the funeral. In this way, the period of continuous struggle of martyr Sardar Qasim Soleimani ended. But his character lived on forever.
In my opinion, if he had lived, the one task that was left would have been accomplished and that was the liberation of Quds. This was God’s will. But as a Muslim, I believe that God will soon send another Soleimani for the liberation of Quds.
Qasim Soleimani was a Muslim mujahid leader whose name made the enemies of Islam tremble. The enemies of the world of Islam called him a terrorist but he was a real martyr or hero of the world of Islam. Today, the enemy can remove the post with his name from the social media and block it, but the character and personality of Qassem Soleimani can never erase the house he has built in the hearts of the Muslim world. never ever.
