Shaheen-IX to improve combat training level of Pak-China air forces

The opening ceremony of Shaheen-IX, the ninth in the series of Pak-China Joint Air Exercises, was jointly witnessed by Deputy Chief of Air Staff (Operations) Air Vice Marshal Waqas Ahmed Sulehri and Assistant Chief of Staff, PLAAF Major General Sun Hong. From the Pakistani side, combat pilots, air defense controllers, and technical ground crew are participating in the exercise. While commenting on the efficacy of the exercises, Maj-Gen Hong said that they will improve the actual level of combat training and strengthen practical cooperation between the two air forces. Air Vice Marshal Sulehri was of the view that the joint exercise will provide an opportunity to further enhance the interoperability of the air forces.
