Four years of Bajwa Doctrine

The Pakistan Army is the sixth-largest army in the world. It has been four years since General Qamar Javed Bajwa became its head. During these four very challenging and difficult years, he has been doing full justice to his command and responsibility with utmost excellence and eloquence.

Qamar Javed Bajwa was born on November 11, 1960, in the house of Col. Muhammad Iqbal Bajwa of the Pakistan Army. General Bajwa lost his father’s shadow at the age of six. Raised under the tutelage of his mother, he completed most of his early education in Pindi and then joined the 62nd PMA Long Course at the Pakistan Military Academy in 1978. After passing out from academy, he was to be commissioned in the 16th Baloch Regiment. In November 2016, the then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif appointed General Qamar Javed Bajwa as the tenth Chief of the Pakistan Army, which lasted until November 2019, and then the current Prime Minister Imran Khan used his power to give General Qamar Bajwa another three years, till 2022. The world’s most trusted magazine Forbes has named Pakistan’s Chief of Armed Forces General Qamar JavedBajwa as the 68th most powerful man in the world, which is undoubtedly a great honor and a source of pride for the Pakistani nation.
